How to Claim for Free
Gather Your Documents
You can complain directly to your car finance provider for free. To begin, you will need to manually locate your past finance agreements, account numbers, and any relevant historical paperwork linked to your previous vehicles.
Submit Your Complaint
Once you have built your case, you must submit it to your lender. Under financial regulations, the lender has up to 8 weeks to officially investigate your claim and issue a final response. You will manage all communications directly.
Escalate to the FOS
If your lender rejects your complaint or you are unsatisfied with their final settlement offer, you can escalate your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS) for an independent review, completely free of charge.
You do not have to use a claims management company to pursue your claim. You can present your claim yourself directly to the lender for free. If they reject your complaint, you can take it to the Financial Ombudsman Service for free.
When Will I Get My Payout?
Once you submit the claim with us, here's what happens next:
Claim Submitted
Your located agreements are securely routed to our legal partners, who build and submit your case to the lender immediately.
Lender Investigation
By law, lenders have an 8-week regulatory window to officially investigate and respond to the submitted claim.
Review & Negotiation
Legal experts review any redress offers. If a claim is rejected or the offer is too low, it is automatically escalated to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Payout (If Successful)
If a settlement is reached, your compensation is processed. The service is strictly “No Win, No Fee*” — a 15%–30% (ex VAT) fee is deducted only from successful payouts. If unsuccessful, you pay nothing.
*The solicitor we recommend will charge you a fee of 18–36% (inclusive of VAT) off your compensation. The solicitor may charge a termination fee if you cancel your agreement with them after the cancellation period, please read their Terms and Conditions for more information.
